Suits
Being a universal type it suits all 3 different types of 16V 4AGE distributors and should even be compatible with the 4AGZE types.
When converting to a type of ignition system with more than one coil the original distributor cap and rotor button are made redundant.
However the base of the distributor needs to be kept in place as it houses the crank angle sensor (CAS) within as used by the ECU.
While some have resorted to tracking down a rare and expensive 4AGZE crank angle sensor it's not necessary.
This product allows for a very simple solution using the existing parts- simply remove the ignition cap and bolt this in place.
Construction / design
Machined out of aluminium billet this part is tough yet light and no larger than it needs to be. With a semi-gloss finish it also looks the part.
