This is the latest Link G4X+ Subaru WRX & STI V5-6 (99 - 00) Plug-in ECU.

Designed for the WRX V5-6 EJ20.

  • This ECU works for manual transmissions only.  
  • Air temp sensor highly recommended. 
  • Most factory features are supported.

Note: V1.4 onwards of this Plug-in features a new 4 pin powered CAN connector and cannot use the old CANPCB cable for CAN connection.  Use the CANJST4 (Code 101-0198) cable for connecting CAN devices.  This new 4 pin port and cable provides not only the CAN connection, but also a protected 12V power supply and ground for powering the CAN devices.  The power supply is protected by a self-resetting fuse rated at 3A continuous.

Link G4X ECUs do not require the use of an air flow meter. The engine can be converted to speed density using a MAP sensor and an intake air temperature (IAT) sensor (IAT sensors sold separately)

If you are wanting more boost than the OEM 2 bar map sensor, We can provide a 3 or 4 Bar sensor at extra cost.

The G4X Subaru WRX & STI V5-6 plug-in ECU comes with a non-engine-specific base map. The ECU will need to be configured for the engine type and then tuned by a professional. The ECU comes with free PCLink software.
